There's so much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We look forward to meeting you soon and helping you take care of your loved one.
Feel better in the comfort of your own home and our facility. We specialize in care and daily living assistance to an array of adults over the age of 18. We know the importance of your loved one being in an environment that is safe, caring and appreciates all the joys of life. Our Center provides respite to caregivers who need some time to rest and take care of themselves. We also provide specialized and specific services to older adults who require a bit of extra help.
When older adults need extra support to live at home, family members often step in to help prepare meals, check medications, and provide companionship. Still, some people need more care during the day than family or a hired caregiver can provide. One option to explore is an adult day center, also commonly called adult day care. Adult day care provides a safe and supportive environment for older adults, and these facilities give caregivers some much-needed time off. This can be a great solution for older adults over the age of 18 that need a bit of extra support but want to maintain independence at home.
Companionship is key to a trusted relationship with our caregivers. We not only strive to help you with everyday tasks but want to develop a caring relationship with you. We provide one-on-one attention and care that cannot compare in other settings.
Many people have been placed into the role of a caregiver due to various circumstances. With this new journey, it is always helpful to be equipped with the tools and certification to be ready for emergencies, reduce emergency room visits and just gain confidence in your caregiving.
Sponsored through the 2023 Nurturing Equity grant through Cone Health Foundation, Journey Adult Day Center will be offering an 8-week program for adults ages 18 and up who are caregivers. We will have an accelerated certified nursing program through GTCC and other certifications
Coming Fall 2023, Journey Adult Day Center, sponsored through a grant from the Womens Profession Forum Foundation, will host a youth program for girls ages 12-16. The purpose is to encourage girls to pursue careers in the health field. We will explore various medical career paths as well as complete certifications in nutrition, CPR/FIRST AID and wellness.
